Rimac Nevera Meets Voltron Nevera Coaster at Europa-Park, Celebrating Three Years of Partnership

Rimac Automobili and Europa-Park are marking three years since the introduction of the Voltron Nevera, Powered by Rimac rollercoaster, with an all-new video.
The partnership was first launched in 2023, when Rimac Automobili and Europa-Park, Germany's largest theme park and ten-time winner of the Golden Ticket Award for Best Amusement Park, joined forces on a new area paying homage to Croatia. The centerpiece of that collaboration is the multilaunch coaster Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, which opened in 2024. The name of the new rollercoaster was officially announced back in August 2023 on the Croatian island of Hvar, in the presence of the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković.
The idea for the partnership came from the Honorary Consul Miriam Mack. She comes from Croatia, is devoted to her homeland and wants to bring the country and all its fascinating facts closer to the guests of Europa-Park. Miriam is the the wife of Europa-Park's Managing Partner Michael Mack.
Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac has won several awards to date: The TEA Thea Award 2025 for outstanding achievement in the ‘Attraction’ category, the Golden Ticket Award 2024 for ‘Best New Rollercoaster Worldwide’ and the European Star Awards 2024 for ‘Europe’s Best New Rollercoaster’. Voltron Nevera features the steepest launch angle of any coaster, at 105 degrees, as well as four periods of catapult -like acceleration up to 100 km/h, including one backwards launch, taking riders through seven inversions with 2.2 seconds of continued weightlessness.
Spanning 1,385 meters, Voltron Nevera integrates into a meticulously crafted Croatian landscape, complete with natural elements such as limestone and an 800-year-old olive tree. The beautiful historic Adriatic town of Hvar, provided inspiration for the design, while the story integrates the inventions of Nikola Tesla – one of Mate Rimac’s role models.
The primary mission for the Rimac Group has been about building world-class cars and technologies, but we’ve always had a secondary initiative to continue to raise the profile of Croatia on the global stage. This collaboration with Europa-Park has helped on both counts, and every day thousands of people are getting to experience not only some of the tech that we’ve created, but also the history and beauty of the country that we call home.

Mate Rimac
Founder and President of the Rimac Group, CEO Bugatti RimacThe cooperation with Mate Rimac and his team is a perfect match. It is important to Europa-Park to strive for partnerships that take place on an equal footing. That is why we are particularly looking forward to working together. This cooperation also brings together a young generation that thinks outside the box. We’re united by our entrepreneurial spirit, our passion for acceleration and our special relationship with Croatia. My wife Miriam comes from the country and as such has played a key inspirational role in the shaping of this themed area. The fact that our cooperation partner is now also from Croatia makes me very proud.
